Question
How much has the Welsh Government spent on the procurement of electric buses?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change
To date, we have invested £8.519m to purchase electric buses for the Traws Cymru Network. This includes the provision of associated infrastructure and depots.
We have also provided a commercial loan to Newport Transport Ltd of £1.85m to purchase electric buses and grants to Cardiff and Newport councils of £8m and £6.323m, respectively, to support them to purchase electric buses.
