Question
What is the Minister's response to findings in the Welsh Government-commissioned ADAS report 'Potential economic effects of the Sustainable Farming Scheme' stating that the Welsh Government's sustainable farming scheme will see 5,500 jobs related to Welsh farming lost?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
The economic assessment commissioned by the Welsh Government has helped inform the design of the proposed Sustainable Farming Scheme and related Consultation.
It is not an assessment of the current Consultation content or of the Scheme which will start in 2025. The Assessment will be updated following the consultation to support a final decision on the Scheme details.
