Question
Does the Welsh Government have an estimate of the number of people in Wales who will enter fuel poverty as a result of changes to winter fuel payments for pensioners?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Culture and Social Justice, Trefnydd and Chief Whip
We are supporting the UK Government’s campaign to get eligible pensioners signed up for Pension Credit. We are also investing £30 million this year into our Warm Homes Nest scheme to tackle fuel poverty for homeowners and households renting from private landlords. Free expert energy advice is available to all householders in Wales via the Nest helpline.
