Question
Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on cervical screening information being updated to make clear it will not detect ovarian cancer and set out a timeline for when this change will become available on the Public Health Wales website?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care
Cervical Screening Wales routinely reviews its training and public information to ensure key messages are clear, accurate and accessible. The leaflet accompanying cervical screening invitations has been updated to state that the cervical screening test does not test for other cancers. Public Health Wales is currently re-platforming its screening webpages, and updated information will be included when this has been completed.
