Question
What discussions has the Cabinet Secretary had with Visit Wales about promoting the Penrhys Pilgrimage Way to visitors?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning
I am in regular contact with Visit Wales, for whom faith tourism is an important area of their work. The Visit Wales website features suggested faith‑based itineraries and in‑depth content pieces, which are used in briefings for operators and journalists. This content, which includes the Penrhys Pilgrimage Way, ranges from pilgrimage routes to detailed regional pieces on places of faith that visitors can explore.
Visit Wales will continue to work with stakeholders to identify appropriate opportunities to feature the Penrhys Pilgrimage Way within future marketing activity, where it supports our strategic focus on sustainable, place‑based ourism.
