Question
Has the Welsh Government confirmed a multi-year funding cycle to replace the Sustainable Farming Scheme one-year payment?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Rural Resilience and Sustainability (Llyr Gruffydd)
I was delighted to announce at the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show that we are providing over one billion pounds during this Senedd term to support sustainable agriculture in Wales.
This is £340 million per year for three years to March 2030, including a guaranteed £238 million annually for the Universal layer or BPS tapered payment and £102 million to deliver the Optional and Collaborative layers.
