Question
What impact assessment has the Welsh Government undertaken in relation to plans to close junctions 27, 26, and 25 of the M4 at Newport?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Transport (Mark Hooper)
Information relating to the potential alternations to M4 junctions, such as cost and programme estimates, is contained within my oral statement on 6 October and the accompanying technical report published on the Welsh Government website. Further work will be undertaken to develop the proposals, assess their potential impacts and engage with local communities, businesses and other stakeholders to inform their development and ensure that implications for the surrounding road network are fully considered.
