Question
How is the Welsh Government addressing concerns from local authorities and communities regarding the proposed designation of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley as a national park, especially in terms of planning restrictions and funding?
Answer
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
The future of planning services emerged as a key theme of the responses from the relevant Local Authorities (LAs) during last year’s consultation. Natural Resources Wales (NRW) responded to these concerns by commissioning a Planning Services Review in the context of a proposed new National Park.
The findings of the Review will inform NRW’s final recommendation to Ministers.
