Question
What steps will the Welsh Government take regarding the designation of the Glyndŵr National Park, following Denbighshire County Council's rejection of Natural Resources Wales's proposal?
Answer
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
Natural Resources Wales (NRW) is undertaking the preparatory work for the potential designation of Glyndŵr National Park, with a statutory consultation currently under way until 8 December. Therefore, it would not be appropriate for me to comment at this stage of the process. Welsh Government will undertake the necessary impact assessment work ahead of making a decision on any Designation Order that may follow NRW’s work.
