Question
What projections has the Welsh Government made for reductions in livestock numbers under the Sustainable Farming Scheme, and how this will impact Wales's food production and security?
Answer
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
The Welsh Government has made no projections for reductions in livestock numbers under the Sustainable Farming Scheme. The evidence published on 30 September includes modelled scenarios, not forecasts, and there is no evidence indicating an impact on Wales’s food production or security.
