Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Minister for Enterprise, Connectivity and Energy (Adam Price)
The Welsh Government is committed to promoting fair work and encourages employers across Wales to pay the Real Living Wage. In line with our Programme for Government commitment, we will review the approach we take to grants, procurement and loans, and the expectations we place on organisations receiving Welsh Government support.
I am looking forward to supporting Real Living Wage Week next month, which provides an important opportunity to highlight the benefits of the Real Living Wage and encourage more employers to become accredited Real Living Wage employers.
We are also preparing to consult on a revised Code of Practice on Ethical Employment in Supply Chains. The revised Code will strengthen expectations in relation to the Real Living Wage and proposes making payment of the Real Living Wage a requirement under the Code.
