Will the Minister commit to an independent review of the proposed measures outlined in the healthy food environment consultation to assess the effectiveness of the policies against the impact on business, and consider a sunset clause for the promotions and placement restrictions for foods high in fat, sugar and salt?

The consultation on the Healthy Food Environment closed on 1 September, and I will be publishing a summary of consultation responses later this month. I intend to announce the Welsh Government position and the next steps in Spring 2023, alongside a further consultation around enforcement.
The measures set out within the consultation sit within broader action being taken forward and collectively these should deliver real measurable change.
