Will the Government provide an update on the commitment to consider what infrastructure is needed in order to prepare for the devolution of welfare administration, including any work the Wales Centre for Public Policy has done?

Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Trefnydd and Chief Whip
In May 2025, research was commissioned to explore how the devolution of social security administration to the Welsh Government could be progressed and assess the potential benefits and consequences. The research will also consider the infrastructure required to ensure that the administration of non-devolved benefits aligns with the principles set out in the Welsh Benefits Charter.
The Wales Centre for Public Policy has not undertaken further work in this area on behalf of the Welsh Government since the publication of their rapid review in 2020.
