Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
In January, I addressed the Senedd on the topic of Growing the Timber Industry in Wales - Jobs and Green Growth (21 January 2025) | GOV.WALES. Following public consultation, I launched “Making wood work for Wales”, Wales’s first Timber Industrial Strategy, in July, setting out priorities and actions for growing a strong, resilient and progressive timber industry in Wales Timber Industrial Strategy | GOV.WALES.
By continuing to work collaboratively with industry we will meet challenges to sustainability, seizing the opportunities to support local supply chains to boost the potential value we gain from our timber, all the way from forest nursery to end-product.
