What information does the Welsh Government collect regarding how many children with care-experienced parents are currently on child protection registers?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Social Care, Mental Health and Women’s Health (Delyth Jewell)
Children’s names are added to the Child Protection Register in Wales following child protection enquiries and a multi-agency decision at a Child Protection Conference. This decision is made where there is evidence that a child has suffered, or likely to suffer, significant harm and is judged to be at continuing risk of abuse, neglect or harm.
The Welsh Government does not collect or hold data on whether parents of children placed on the Child Protection register are care experienced.
